Guy Riedel Wines

Guy Riedel Wines was born in 2005 with the singular purpose of producing small batch, hand-made, ultra premium wines without compromise; from the grapes we choose, to the production process,  in the barrel aging and finally the bottling. We firmly believe our quest for quality and attention to detail pays off in the final product.  In 2001 we began working towards this endeavor by producing four successive vintages from our garage.

In 2005 we left the civilian world behind and went commercial, producing a single Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon as our inaugural release.   In 2006 we added Santa Barbara County Syrah to our portfolio and in 2008 we added Napa Valley Zinfandel.  We source our fruit from the very best vineyards we can find, we use state of the art processing equipment then age the wines in 100% French Oak. We do final blending to maximize the potential of the vineyard and the vintage, We have no release schedules to meet and no priorities other than making the very best wine.  We release each vintage only when it’s optimal for the next stage in its life; in the bottle and in your glass.

Instrumental in this process is our consulting winemaker Kian Tavakoli whose experience and passion for viticulture, winemaking and blending has helped us consistently raise the bar for our wines both in bottle and barrel since our first vintage in 2005. Look for additional varietals to be added to the Guy Riedel portfolio of wines in the years to come.
